Big Sing at Kingshott!
We were delighted to invite professional vocal ensemble, Horizon Voices, into Kingshott to deliver some Big Singing workshops! Years 3-5 were first, followed by Years 6-8; in the workshops the children participated in a wide range of singing activities which covered different musical styles including folk, pop, jazz and classical. We warmed up our voices thoroughly before engaging in some healthy competition with ensemble musical games, learning some beatboxing patterns, adding vocal harmonies and body percussion to pieces, and even having the opportunity for a Q&A with members of Horizon Voices who talked about their musical careers. The children were all brilliant, full of enthusiasm and participated with so much confidence, well done all!
