Our Nursery Facilities

Kingshott Nursery is housed in its own wonderfully welcoming purpose built building.

The Nursery is a bright, colourful environment with plenty of space for the children to learn through carefully planned adult-led and child-initiated activities.

There are two separate, spacious areas inside the Nursery – one which enables child-initiated activities, and a separate classroom area which provides a space for joint learning experiences (such as the introduction of phonics) on our interactive whiteboard. It is this area that our specialist teachers (e.g. Languages) use when they visit the Nursery to deliver sessions each week. 

The Nursery has its own secure outdoor play area complete with a nature garden and pirate ship. The children also have the advantage of being able to use the School’s outdoor classrooms, nature area, and extensive grounds to widen their learning experiences.  

As well as having all of their own facilities to use and enjoy, our Nursery children also have access to all of the School's other facilities too! This includes our dining room, where they go to lunch everyday, all of our sports facilities, playing fields and our swimming pool.

The Nursery building is situated next to the Rowan building which houses our Prep children from Reception upwards. This enables our pupils to make a comfortable and easy transition into our Reception class, as they have shared EYFS spaces.
