Kingshott School's Eco council, which comprises of children from Years 3 to 8, have enjoyed planting trees as part of Queen Elizabeth's Green Canopy initiative.
The Queen’s Green Canopy was a unique, UK-wide tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, by inviting people to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee." Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and the wishes of His Majesty The King, The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative was extended to give people the opportunity to plant trees in memoriam to honour Her Majesty.
The Eco Committee at Kingshott School is proud to have taken part - creating a living legacy in Her Majesty’s name.
As well as the trees planted by our Eco Committee, more trees will be planted of Saturday 10th of December by our wider School community.
