An excellent educational journey of exploration
We offer our Senior School students an educational journey of exploration, creativity, intellectual growth and skills development. We are incredibly experienced at offering an exceptionally rounded education to our oldest pupils (previously Years 7 and 8), with the ISI rating our education as "Excellent" and specifically stating that
"Pupils in Year 8 demonstrate high levels of understanding in Science. They tackle complex GCSE-level material successfully." ISI.
All of our students in Years 7 to 9 study the core subjects of: English, Maths, Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), and French. Other subjects taken by all pupils include:

As well as our extensive and engaging curriculum, all students in Year 7+ benefit from taking part in:
-
The Independent Project Qualification (iPQ). This is a highly regarded national programme which enables us to cultivate independent research skills, and sets the stage for a journey of exploration, creativity, and intellectual growth. Students in Year 7 achieve an iPQ qualification for their CV. Read more about our IPQ success here.
-
The Bronze Arts Award for Year 8 students. This nationally recognised qualification encourages students to develop their creative and critical skills, set themselves challenges, research and explore the arts and share their interests and knowledge. Students enjoy building a portfolio in music, drama or art (culminating in an Arts Award for their CV) and then can chose to continue to take the Silver Award in Year 9.
-
LAMDA Group examinations for all students in Year 7 upwards. Lessons are during curriculum time and texts performed are tied in with the students’ curriculum. This enables them to put the text ‘on its feet’ - performing it helps to bring the words to life, and to deepen their understanding. Students who are inspired to do more can then choose to also take Solo, Duo or Combined performance examinations, progressing through to Grade 5 (GCSE equivalent).
-
A diverse and inclusive Sports programme for all senior school students. Enjoyment and participation is at the centre of our ‘sport for life’ approach in weekly PE lessons, with opportunities to develop further interests or excellence in individual or competitive team sports in our weekly Games sessions.
For pupils in Year 10+ we are offering a wide range of GCSE subject choices.
