It's been a wonderfully busy summer for Kingshott, getting the school ready for the year ahead. Alongside all of our normal site updates, we have been delighted to start some of our wider school developments.
The Rowan building was our initial focus - we have moved the Reception classrooms from the inside curve to the outside curve. This has enabled the EYFS year groups (Nursery and Reception) to be closer together and to share outside space. This opens up endless opportunities for us to now develop this space and we are working with playground specialists to consider how we can further redevelop this area to be a fun space for all of our youngest children.
Inside the Rowan building there has been a general refresh - with our brilliant site team giving the spacious corridors a fresh paint and uplift too. The building is lovely and spacious, and the light now bounces beautifully around, providing an uplifting learning environment for all of our youngest children. Teachers and TAs have been busy too, relocating their classrooms in readiness for a year of exciting learning.
Our new pupils who are joining Reception and those moving across from our Nursery, will now benefit from a Reception classroom alongside a separate ‘creative’ (or messy!) space for children to use and enjoy.
