Category / School NewsA busy term for Kingshott's musicians!
What an action-packed couple of weeks the Music Department has had! Straight off the back of the fabulous Pre-Prep Nativity, our senior students had been busily preparing for a range of seasonal musical events.
Our annual Carol Service saw all year groups participating in a variety of traditional Christmas Carols, readings and student arrangements of popular Christmas songs, not to mention our three fantastic choirs and Year 8 vocal soloists.
No rest for the wicked for our String Ensemble, Flute Ensemble and Orchestra, who then performed some Christmassy pieces to Pre-Prep in Thursday's assembly. Kingshott Voices also continued their festive merriment, heading to Park House Retirement Home in Hitchin to sing some Christmas Carols with the residents.
It has been such an enjoyable time of year musically, although I think I can safely say that I will be spending the first day of the Christmas holidays lying down to recover, surrounded by mince pies and other festive treats!
