We are delighted to have now launched the Independent Project Qualification (iPQ) for Year 7 students. This is one of our new developments in our move to offer GCSEs, and it marks an exciting direction for our Senior School academic curriculum.
The inaugural session, led by Ms Dawes our new iPQ co-ordinator, focused on cultivating independent research skills among our students, setting the stage for a journey of exploration, creativity, and intellectual growth. We have introduced the iPQ program to empower pupils with the skills necessary for independent and self-directed learning. Through this program, Year 7 pupils are encouraged to choose and explore topics of personal interest, fostering a sense of curiosity and ownership over their learning.
As the iPQ program progresses, pupils will continue their independent research projects under the guidance of dedicated mentors. Regular checkpoints and support sessions are planned to ensure pupils remain on track, and they will ultimately present their findings in a culminating event, fostering a culture of academic excellence and personal achievement. We look forward to seeing how they progress throughout the year!
