African experience for Year 1 !
Year 1 were very lucky to have Mrs Utah come in and talk to us about Africa and in particular Nigeria. We had great fun learning about Kings and Queens, trying on different headwear, playing musical instruments and even learnt how to say hello in 5 different African languages. We loved looking at Nigerian currency and learnt the money is called Naira and Kobo. Our favourite part of the talk was learning about Mrs Utah’s family and her favourite memories of growing up in Nigeria. We ended our talk by learning an African dance and are now all ready to fly to Nigeria and show off our dance skills!
