Year 7 had an absolutely glorious day at The Tower of London - learning all about the Tudors.
Pupils spent time exploring the White Tower and the Crown Jewels, and they were then able to take part in a guided interactive tour of the Tower with a focus on Tudor traitors and prisoners.
Kingshott is brilliantly situated close to Hitchin and its train station to be able to access London quickly and easily for great learning experiences such as this. Year 7 were able to catch the train to London Bridge and to then enjoy the hustle and bustle of Borough Market (for a quick snack) before walking along the South Bank and across Tower Bridge to the Tower of London.
The pupils particularly enjoyed seeing their Tudor topic coming to life thanks to the excellent exhibitions and interactive tour at the Tower of London. The weather added to the day - although it was freezing, all of the pupils appreciated seeing the sights of London on such a clear, beautiful day.
