PSHCE

Personal, Social, Health and Citizen Education (PSHCE) develops pupils' knowledge, skills and attributes that they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. These characteristics help them stay healthy, safe and also develop their resilience to deal with the challenges they may face in everyday life. PSHCE at Kingshott enables our children to become healthy, independent, responsible and productive members of society; developing their positive self-esteem and self-confidence. It assists their understanding as to what is happening to them both personally and socially.  This includes forming healthy relationships, their own health and wellbeing and living in the wider world. Discussions take place around the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of our lives.

Pupils are encouraged to take care of their immediate and the greater environment and be sensitive and considerate to the beliefs and behaviours of others. At Kingshott, we provide our children with opportunities for them to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society. Our children are encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life, the wider community and a member of a global society.
