Our Prep School Sports Day was a resounding success, bringing together students, staff, and families for a day of fun and friendly competition.
The children competed in four different disciplines: sprints, mid-distance, throwing, and handball. The sprint races were full of energy and excitement, with many close finishes showcasing the children's determination.
In the mid-distance events, the students demonstrated impressive stamina and perseverance, spurred on by the enthusiastic support of the crowd. Their technique and pacing, honed in PE lessons, were evident as they crossed the finish line.
The throwing events were a showcase of strength and skill, with many children achieving personal bests in javelin, shot put, cricket ball, vortex, and discus.
Handball, our team event for the year, was a highlight of the day. The children embraced the Olympic sport with enthusiasm, demonstrating teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship.
Throughout the day, there was a strong sense of camaraderie and friendly competition. Every student gave their best effort, making for a memorable Sports Day. Congratulations to Parks for winning the house trophy for the second year running! We are incredibly proud of all our participants and look forward to next year's event.
