Black belt for Philippa!
After seven years of dedication and training, Year 8 pupil, Philippa, has successfully achieved her Karate Black Belt!
Philippa has been working hard since she was five to achieve this impressive accolade. The final 2.5 hour grading included a vast number of moves, attacks, and a theory test of the history of Karate and counting to 100 in Japanese!
"We are all incredibly proud of Philippa's success," says Head, David Weston. "To achieve a black belt at this age is astounding and a testament to her talent and tenacity to keep progressing and pass this very difficult grading."
