Year 3 travelled back in time to visit Ancient Egypt!
The Year 3 children travelled back in time to visit Ancient Egypt during the rule of Akhenaten. They were able to try making a wide variety of craft items, such as, writing their name in hieroglyphs, making a scented candle, using clay to make jewellery, shabtis and canopic jars, creating a peg doll mummy, carving soap, and painting Egyptian art. They also had a variety of questions to explore about Egypt during this point in history, followed by an afternoon of role play and dance. The huge smiles all day were a testament to the wonderful and enriching time they had.
